How is a Home Warranty Different from Home Insurance?

Homeowner’s insurance covers repairs for structural damage to your home caused by unexpected catastrophic events like fire, water damage, or wind. However, it does not cover the systems and appliances within your home that can break down due to regular use.
In contrast, home warranties cover the wear and tear from normal, everyday use of your home’s appliances and systems. While home insurance protects against unforeseen disasters, home warranties provide coverage for expected breakdowns due to routine usage.

Alternatively, you can opt for our most popular choice—Complete Home Coverage—and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with comprehensive protection.

Can I Choose My Own Service Provider?

Yes, you can choose your own licensed service provider. If you prefer, we can also recommend a technician from our network of experts.

Do I Need an Inspection or Maintenance Records Before Buying Coverage?

No, an inspection or maintenance records are not required. However, there is a 30-day waiting period between purchasing your plan and submitting your first claim.

What if You Can't Fix My Covered Item?

If our expert technicians are unable to repair your covered appliance or system, we will replace it with a new model of similar kind and quality.

Our plan limits are highly competitive, offering up to $5,000 per 12-month period with no sub-limits per system.

Payment & Costs Questions

Will My Rates Increase Each Year?

No, your rates will not increase annually. You are locked into the initial price for as long as you maintain your plan, so there’s no need to worry about rising costs.

Will I Have Any Out-of-Pocket Expenses?

When you submit a service request, you’ll pay a $75 deductible. After that, we cover all expenses including labor, parts, repairs, and replacements up to the limit of liability outlined in your contract. Please refer to your contract for coverage details.

Is the Coverage Transferable?

Yes, the coverage is transferable. If ownership changes during the term of the contract, simply contact our customer service to transfer the contract to the new owner.
